Donald Toussaint,
Manager, ITS Risk Management Services

Topic: Demystifying Certification & Accreditation
Currently the Manager of IT Security Risk Management Services at PWGSC,
Mr. Toussaint's chief responsibility is the implementation of the
Departmental IT Security Risk Management Program, including system
security Certification. He has 29 years combined experience in the
private, military and public sectors and is well versed in state-off-the
art system engineering and Information Technology Security. He was
an officer in the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Trade, worked
on large-scale acquisition of advanced thermal imagery systems with
Spar Aerospace, the development of the next generation Configuration
Management System and a new Integrated Logistic Support model for
the Army. Mr. Toussaint was the Director of Technical Services for
the Radio communication Division of Bell Mobility in Quebec City.
In 1995, he joined the Public Sector in the IT Security field and
has worked with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International
Trade, Human Resources and Development Canada and Public Works and
Government Services, gaining substantial experience in the application
of security policies and standards, to include the security engineering
of PKI and X.500 directory services. Mr. Toussaint has a Bachelor
in Applied Science from the College Militaire Royal de St-Jean. He
has been nominated for two Canadian Federal Awards for his leadership
and innovation in the IT field. He is a member of the Information
Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
