Todd P. McDermott
Vice President
Verint Systems Inc.
Mr. McDermott has filled the position of Vice President of Verint
Systems Inc. since 1999. His primary focus is on the US CALEA surveillance
market and specialized access and delivery systems, which includes
informing major switch manufacturers about surveillance solutions
and exploring future trends and technological developments. Mr. McDermott
also interacts with numerous Law Enforcement Agencies and telecommunications
service providers and provides engineering services to assist with
development of CALEA solutions. He retired from the Royal Canadian
Mounted Police as Officer in Charge Engineering Branch, Technical
Operations. He led all research and development and support for technical
aspects of electronic surveillance equipment and systems Canada wide.
Mr. McDermott has been deemed an expert witness Canada wide on all
aspects of electronic surveillance. He chaired a Canadian Law Enforcement
committee on electronic surveillance and hosted and chaired an annual
international Law Enforcement committee on electronic surveillance.
Mr. McDermott received a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
from Carleton University, Ottawa. His thesis subject dealt with investigating
and developing a theory for lawful interception of digital communications
in emerging technology, personal communications networks.
